The All-lndia Debt and Investment Surveys (AlDlS) of the National Sample Survey (NSS)

are the primary source of data on various indicators of stock of assets, incidence of

indebtedness, capital formation and other indicators of rural/urban economy. These are used

for planning, policy formulation, and decision support and as input for further analytical

studies by various Government organizations, academicians, researchers and scholars.
