Global companies, wherever they are headquartered, face growing challenges in attracting, retaining and motivating top leadership talent internationally. From Hong Kong to London to New York to Sao Paulo, companies are devoting more attention to the issues of how — and how much — to pay their executives.

For some, the pressures on executive pay in emerging markets are acute. For others, intensifying competition for talent has exposed weaknesses in their executive compensation arrangements in developed markets. Increasing regulation of pay and growing shareholder scrutiny create additional challenges and an uneven playing field across national borders and within markets.

In this series of videos at right, Towers Watson’s executive compensation practice leaders in key countries around the world review the current state of the art in executive compensation practices and design and discuss emerging trends companies are likely to be wrestling with in the near future.
