Data presented in Doctorate Recipients from U.S. Universities: 2012 were collected by the Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED). The survey is sponsored by six federal agencies: the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), U.S. Department of Education (USED), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). (Identified in tables as NSF, NIH, USED, USDA, NEH, NASA.) This report presents the summary of these survey data.
