Women Work! released their critical new study, Chutes and Ladders: The Search for Solid Ground for Women in the Workplace, on February 17, 2005 at a Capitol Hill press briefing. The event was sponsored by Congresswomen Ginny Brown-Waite (FL-5th) and Hilda L. Solis (CA-32nd), co-chairs of the Congressional Caucus on Womens Issues. The report provides an update on the economic and employment status of displaced homemakers and single mothers in the United States, and includes policy and workplace recommendations to support and retain women in transition in the workforce.
